Bio

Luigi Morelli’s faith in social change from a cultural perspective has evolved through a combination of training, education and unique personal experience. In the last six years he has taught Compassionate Communication, after training extensively in Non-Violent Communication (NVC), coaching and mediation deriving from it.*
For nine years he operated a business partnership promoting ecological practices in landscape contracting in Santa Cruz, California, and for fourteen years he has worked with developmentally disabled adults, most of which in alternative settings that explore spirituality (Camphill International and International Federation of L’Arche). In 2003 he was a founding member of the Wavecrest /Friends of L’Arche community for the disabled (part of the international federation of L’Arche communities), in Orange County, CA.
Luigi promotes a vision of social change in which modern Civil Society can embrace the tools of experiential spirituality or a fresher understanding of universal truths, and the creation of a new culture that is free from dogma, cultural and religious biases. In his writings he blends the themes of spirituality and social change; a good portion of these are inspired from the history, myths and legends from the American continent.
* Based on Nonviolent Communication as developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph. D.
